Dental Implant

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth, bridge or denture. Dental implants may be an option for people who have lost a single tooth, multiple teeth or all of their teeth due to periodontal disease, dental decay, an injury, or a congenital condition.  Once an implant has been placed and allowed to heal, it fuses to the surrounding bone and is fixated within the jaw.  The implant can then be used as an anchor to support various tooth replacement restorations.
